Hell yes? Hell no?
In light of the upcoming documentary Hellbound? and the recent article from Pastor Mark on CNN’s On Faith blog in which he and Frank Schaeffer gave two different takes on hell, we’ve compiled some resources on hell from last spring and summer for you:
“To Hell with Hell?”
by Mark Driscoll
Jesus talks about hell more than does anyone else in all of Scripture. Jesus’ words come in the context of the rest of Scripture, which says that God “desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” . . . Despite God’s love for and patience with sinners, it is a horrid mistake to dismiss the Bible’s clear teachings on hell.

“How We Preach on Hell”
by Dave Bruskas
When preaching on the weighty topic of heaven and hell, it’s important to thread the needle of being theologically precise, pastorally sincere, and prophetically persuasive.
“The History of Hell”
by Resurgence
This PDF goes through the history of hell and how prominent people have viewed it from the early church times to today.
