Physical birth ≠ Spiritual birth
Recently, I had the great privilege of preaching for Pastor Rick Warren at Saddleback Church in California. I brought Citizens along with me to lead worship. We came to serve, but Pastor Rick and his team served us with hospitality, time, and appreciation. Pastor Rick who is speaking at our 2013 Resurgence Conference and his team have always been an encouragement and a source of wise counsel, for which I am thankful.
We’re very grateful for our brothers and sisters in Southern California. This week, thanks to their work and permission, we’re posting my sermon from the trip. The big idea is what it means to be “born again.” There’s a big difference between being spiritual, religious, or moral, and being born again to new life in Christ. Jesus said, “Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). I hope you find the sermon helpful in understanding this hugely important concept.
