“The times they are a-changin.”

This is the title of one of Bob Dylan’s most famous songs. In penning this song, Dylan identified with the social turmoil and changes taking place at the time in the United States. The song has enjoyed a lasting legacy by capturing one of the constant realities of our life and world: change.

Change is exactly what has happened to Christendom in Western civilization. The bandwagon is no longer carrying us—now it’s running us over. The church is dying, but we are so busy criticizing one another that we don’t have time for evangelizing lost people.

It’s time to stand firm, set our eyes on Jesus, and get to work.

Despite what is going on in the world today, Jesus will build his church (Matt. 16:18).

God is faithful. He has called you. It’s your move.
