Resurgence Leadership #011: Character Counts

Paul warns Timothy to “keep a close watch” on himself and his teaching (1 Tim. 4:16). Have you carefully considered what it will take to finish well as a Christian leader?

This week on Resurgence Leadership, renowned pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie teaches from the book of Daniel, challenging leaders to consider the finish line and the character it will take to end well from his R13 session.

Here are some highlights from this week’s program:

The measure of a real man’s character is what he would do if he were never caught.

Character is simply long habit continued. Sow a habit, reap character. Sow character, and reap a destiny.

God isn’t going to say, “Well done, good and successful servant,” but, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

If we take care of our depth, God will take care of our breadth.

If you invest in the lives of people, well-fed sheep will reproduce themselves.

The Bible doesn’t airbrush its heroes. It gives us its heroes warts and all.

The pulpit is not a place to settle scores. It’s a place to preach the Word of God.

God may allow tests in your life not to weaken or destroy you, but to strengthen you for the task at hand.
